Software Testing is now recognised as a career within IT. For this reason this survey was commissioned to accurately show the remuneration packages, benefits and conditions applying to nine separate testing functions from Business Unit Manager to Test Analyst.
As testing grows in importance as a major factor in enabling successful delivery of IT projects so demand for exceptional people also grows. But what is needed to attract and retain the best staff? As IT projects become even more critical to business success, the delivery of these projects becomes more important. Attracting and retaining quality individuals is vital to success. This survey will allow companies and individuals to benchmark their offerings to assist with staff retention and employment issues.
Other surveys have tended to include other IT related positions that have clouded the overall picture. This survey is the first to concentrate purely on testing roles. So there are no developers or programmers, no IT support or designers, no executive management or project leaders to skew the results.
